David Prutton has shared his prediction for Leeds United’s clash with Rotherham United at Elland Road.
The Whites will be looking to continue their excellent start to 2024, having won all five Championship matches since the turn of the New Year, which saw Daniel Farke crowned January’s manager of the month award.
After a couple of long away trips to Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle, Leeds will be pleased to be back at fortress Elland Road, a place they still are yet to taste defeat so far this season.
Leeds are also up against a Rotherham side who are bottom of the table and yet to win away all season, but know they cannot afford to be complacent after the meeting in South Yorkshire in November.
Writing in his latest weekly EFL predictions column for Sky Sports, Prutton believes Leeds will continue their ‘relentless’ run of form with a comfortable victory today.
Prutton backs Leeds for another win
He said: “Leeds are on the hunt now. They are a point back from Southampton having played a game extra, but are looking in relentless form. It could turn out to be a two-horse race for that spot if they keep on their tail.
“Rotherham just seem to be bouncing from tough game to tough game and it’s not giving them a chance to build any momentum. They were put aside by the Saints last week, and the same thing is likely to happen at Elland Road. Prediction: Leeds 3-1 Rotherham.“

Leeds should have more than enough for the three points today but know what can happen if they aren’t at 100 per cent, as proven in the away game. Rotherham were also able to take a point away at Southampton.
Farke’s side should be full of confidence, though, with the form they are in and after scoring in midweek, Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto will be feeling good.
With Southampton at home to Huddersfield Town, this is another must-win match for Leeds in order to keep the pressure on.
