Lee Peltier has responded on Twitter to Crysencio Summerville’s comments that the Dutchman got in the Rotherham United defender’s head during Leeds United’s 1-1 draw at the New York Stadium.
Summerville, 22, scored early on after losing Peltier following a neat pass from Georginio Rutter. It was one of Summerville’s nine goals this season. He has had a hand in 15 goals in 17 games during 23-24.
This week, Summerville spoke of how he got in Peltier’s head during the trip to Rotherham – in which Leeds failed to win. His goal was cancelled out when Hakeem Odoffin scored to make it 1-1 on the night.
He said that he spoke to Peltier – who of course, played for Leeds for two years between 2012 and 2014, clocking up 75 appearances for the Whites – teasing him after losing Peltier, who played as a right-back.
Now, Peltier has responded. Replying to our LeedsUnited.News’ Twitter account, Peltier praised the Leeds man – but said he does not recall him making the comments during the clash on November 24.

A hilarious exchange, after a game in which Peltier was also lucky to not concede a penalty for a tackle on Dan James in the penalty area – which Daniel Farke said should have resulted in a penalty to Leeds.
The draw against Rotherham was the only one of our last seven games in which Leeds failed to win, with the Whites picking up six wins and 19 points in from a possible 21 games. Summerville has been crucial.
He will again be pivotal on Tuesday night when Leeds take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. A big game against a side that have their tails up after a win over West Brom – despite, sacking Tony Mowbray.
