Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville has shared how Rotherham United man Lee Peltier annoyed him in the recent 1-1 draw at The New York Stadium – and he how he got his own back over Peltier.
Summerville, 22, has been on fire this season. He scored during the 1-1 draw against The Millers, but Leeds failed to hold on to three points – a poor result. Rotherham did well to salvage a point against us.
The Dutchman now has 15 goals and assists in 17 Championship games – quite incredible. Three goals and an assist in his last four games for Leeds. On Tuesday night, he’ll look to add to that at Sunderland.
Peltier is still playing in the Championship – after two years at Elland Road between 2012 and 2014, in which he played 75 times. Summerville shares how he teased him, on the official Leeds United podcast.
“When a player starts to kick me, I know he’s lost it. Normally, I’m quiet because I respect everyone. But I have to say against Rotherham, the right-back, was annoying me. He did too much,” Summerville said.
“One time I was running, left him behind – he grabbed his hamstring. I had a chance. I walked back and said, ‘you can’t keep up with me, it’s alright bro’. I was in his head. That’s only if they go too far.”

Brilliant stuff. Unfortunately it wasn’t a game that Leeds managed to win, but Summerville against Peltier was a mis-match. Our goal came with Peltier losing Summerville and the winger going free, early on.
The Dutchman has been in magical form this season and long may it continue. Certainly, if Daniel Farke is to help Leeds get promoted this season, then Summerville will be absolutely crucial for the Whites.
