Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the talk of the town after scoring in a fourth consecutive Premier League match for Leeds United on Sunday, and Paul Robinson is the latest to praise him.

Calvert-Lewin is the third Englishman to score in four consecutive Premier League games for Leeds after Michael Bridges and Rod Wallace, nodding home a gorgeous Willy Gnonto cross to win Leeds a point.

Answer this: Leeds United will finish in ___th place if Dominic Calvert-Lewin stays fit 📊

Calvert-Lewin’s improved form has come at the same time as Leeds returning to form. It feels like a new page has been turned under Daniel Farke, changing formation and approach and it is certainly working.

So much so that there is talk of Calvert-Lewin winning an England call-up. A stark contrast to the concern Leeds fans had when he first signed, and the expectation that Calvert-Lewin would be injured a lot.

But other than a little niggle or two, Calvert-Lewin has remained fit. He told the Sky Sports panel on Sunday that he feels fitter than he has in years and is coming through 90 minutes regularly, now.

Speaking on Premier League’s XG programme, former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson praised the striker. He thinks Calvert-Lewin can be a “real asset”, and says people forget he’s still only 28 years old.

“With his injury record, it is well-documented, it’s about keeping him on the pitch. Get somebody in and around him, he’s effective. He’ll be a real asset between now and the end of the season, if he stays fit.

“He’s still only 28 years old, we forget how old Calvert-Lewin is, it feels like he’s been around forever. He’s missed a lot of football but he’s showed what he is capable of. This could really work for Leeds,” he said.

How many goals can Dominic Calvert-Lewin score this season?

That’s four in four games for Calvert-Lewin, and a total of five for the campaign. Already, he has scored more goals for Leeds this season than he did in two of Everton’s last three seasons, before his exit.

After netting five goals in 947 minutes of Premier League football, Calvert-Lewin is averaging a goal every 189.4 minutes. If he continues at this rate, Calvert-Lewin will add at least another 10 goals this season.

That is, if he plays every single minute remaining in Leeds’ 22 games left to play. Of course, that’s not going to be possible unless your name is Joe Rodon. But if he can reach 15 goals, it is a superb season.

What is fact, is that Everton will rue letting Calvert-Lewin go. Pat Nevin said his goal would ‘hurt’ Everton on Sunday, while Jamie Carragher says Calvert-Lewin is better than anything Everton have in attack.
