Daniel Farke has provided an injury update on Dan James after Leeds United’s 1-0 win over Norwich City.
The Whites made it four Championship wins in a row for the first time this season as Patrick Bamford headed home a cross from James to continue his fine run of form in front of goal.
James is arguably in some of the best form of his career and now has 10 goals and six assists in the Championship this season, and so this injury comes at the worst possible time for him and Leeds.
The 26-year-old went down to receive treatment in the first half and carried on for the final few minutes, before then being replaced by Jaidon Anthony at the break.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Farke is hopeful that he will not be out for too long, though has already ruled him out for the FA Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

He said: “James hip flexor. Hope it’s not too bad. Will miss the cup game. Hope he returns soon after that. Need him.”
Thankfully Leeds have a nine-day break in the league with the FA Cup coming this weekend, and it is likely he would’ve been rested anyway.
Wilfried Gnonto should be fit to return on Saturday, while Anthony will also be hoping for another start in the cup, meaning Leeds should be fine to get by without him.
However, James has practically made himself undroppable with his form this season and a return of 16 goal contributions already just shows how much he has improved since returning from Fulham.
At the same time, last night also proved how quickly things can change on the injury front, given that Archie Gray also had to limp off injured in added time of the second half.
