Mateusz Klich reacts with three words on Instagram as Leeds United release new away kit

Leeds United have released their new away kit for the 2024-25 campaign and it has earned a glowing response from fans on social media, as well as Mateusz Klich.

Leeds had already released the new home kit which features blue Adidas stripes on the shoulder. But it came in for criticism due to the Red Bull logo, and the inclusion of the colour red via the shirt sponsor.

Of course, the colour red does not go down well among Leeds supporters given rivalry with Manchester United. Josh Warrington told LeedsUnited.News that it is the badge on the shirt that ultimately matters.

Now, Leeds have released the new away kit on Wednesday morning. A yellow homage to the kit used in 1974, including the famous smiley badge and it has fans absolutely delighted on social media in reaction.

Junior Firpo and Willy Gnonto model new Leeds away kit

Leeds posted a series of images on Instagram that includes both Junior Firpo and Willy Gnonto wearing the kit, despite being linked with moves away this summer. Reports in Spain say Betis want to sign Firpo.

While a deal for Italy star Gnonto is said to be advancing as Everton look to land the winger in a deal that could see The Whites receive a huge £20m, plus £5m in add-ons – a big profit on his £3.8m outlay.

However, both players were among those to model the new away strip that might first be seen officially against West Brom. Leeds face Portsmouth and Middlesbrough at home before going to The Hawthorns.

What Mateusz Klich said about Leeds kit on Instagram

Firpo and Gnonto were not the only players to model the new kit, which features the Red Bull logo in blue and yellow as well as the smiley badge. It also includes blue shoulder stripes, but white in between.

Indeed, Leeds posted a picture on Instagram that sees Welsh duo Dan James and Ethan Ampadu posing alongside Mateo Joseph. A trio of players that are certain to be key for Leeds during the 2024-25 season.

Leeds icon Klich, who is renowned for his fashion, responded to the post. Currently playing across the pond for MLS side DC United, he commented asking if the shirt can be delivered to the United States.
