Manor Solomon is enjoying his best spell of form since joining Leeds United in the summer on loan from Tottenham, and is clearly beginning to enjoy life in Yorkshire.
While his parent club are struggling as Ange Postecoglou’s side sit 15th in the Premier League amid an injury crisis, Leeds sit top of the Championship and Manor Solomon has had a hand in 11 goals so far.
The Israel international got off to a slow start, however. He joined Leeds after spending a year on the sidelines, tearing his meniscus just six games into his Tottenham spell having joined Spurs in July 2023.
Having recovered from that injury, Solomon joined Leeds on loan with the intention of getting regular game time in order to get back to his best. But he struggled to find his best form to begin with at Leeds.

But the last few weeks have seen Solomon sparkle. He has five goals and assists in his last four outings, scoring inside three minutes against Sheffield Wednesday and then on 31 seconds against Norwich City.
He has formed an incredible partnership with Dan James on the other flank, with James full of praise for Solomon after Wednesday night’s 2-0 win over Norwich in which both scored and created for each other.
On Instagram, Solomon posted a picture in which he shared a moment with James. He joked that he loved James more than his fiancee: “Sorry Dana, but yesterday I loved DJ a bit more than you.”

That is five goals and five assists in his first 12 starts for Leeds. Opta man and Leeds fan Jonny Cooper took to X to say that it is the first time any Leeds player has managed five of each in their first 12 starts.
He reported: “Five goals and five assists in 12 league starts for Leeds United. He’s the first Leeds player on record since 1989/90 to have both 5+ goals and 5+ assists within his first 12 starts. Big impact on games.”
Attention turns to Monday night for Solomon and Leeds as they prepare for arguably their biggest game of the season, at promotion rivals Burnley. A win would see Leeds take a big leap towards promotion.
