Leeds United are on the lookout for at least one new full-back before the end of the transfer window.
Left-back had already been an area Leeds were looking at but after losing both Djed Spence and Luke Ayling, the other flank is now arguably an even bigger priority for Daniel Farke.
Leeds have been linked with a number of potential targets, with West Ham United’s Ben Johnson the latest to be mentioned. Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams is also someone they like.
However, Burnley’s Connor Roberts is a name which has repeatedly come up since Spence’s loan spell came to an abrupt ending, due to a lack of game time over the last few months.
Vincent Kompany addressed Roberts’ future to the Burnley Express on Thursday and says they will not give his future a thought until after tonight’s pivotal relegation clash with Luton Town.

He said: “It’s in the spirit of the importance of the game, it’s the last thing… I mean, we have a nine-day break and our next game is on January 31, so we’ll have plenty of time to do all these discussions, certainly internally.
“My only concern has been Luton this week and then we will deal with everything else after that game.”
It has been a quiet start to the January window for a lot of sides including Leeds and so it would appear that the majority of business will take place in the final week or two.
Leeds are reportedly prepared to be patient to wait for their first choice targets to become available this month, just like in the summer, with five of their nine signings coming in the last two weeks.
Roberts is said to be open to a move to Elland Road this month, with the prospect of linking up with Welsh international teammates Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James tempting.
Burnley are also willing to entertain offers for the man they paid Swansea City £2.5 million to sign in 2021, but whether Leeds want him on loan or permanently, remains to be seen.
