Leeds United poll shows fans have clear winner out of Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson for Wolves

Daniel Farke has a decision to make between Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson as part of Leeds United’s attack against Wolves.

Daniel Farke often struggles against Wolves but Leeds United fans have other reasons to be confident at Molineux, given that Leeds have won the last three games against Wolves in the Premier League.

There are concerns in attack, though. Leeds have had the fewest shots on target in the Premier League and it’s why Leeds fans are worried about goals against Wolves.

Most fans assumed, after being dropped for the first time in a league game against Fulham last time out, Willy Gnonto would return to the lineup for Leeds. However, Farke’s update means it is likely to be Harrison or Aaronson.

Leeds United fans have decided Jack Harrison should face Wolves over Brenden Aaronson

Ahead of the press conference, Lucas Perri was ruled out for Leeds in this game after picking up an injury in training, while Dan James came off early against Fulham in a worrying state.

Since then, Farke confirmed that James is a “major doubt” for the trip to Wolves with Perri also missing, while Gnonto’s availability is also in doubt after picking up some calf problems ahead of the trip to Molineux.

“We have a few doubts for this game. Dan James is a major doubt; he’s struggling with his hip and core muscles. Willy Gnonto is struggling with some calf problems and missed a few training sessions.”

With Largie Ramazani on loan at Valencia and not an option, Noah Okafor is likely to retain his place on the left. That leaves Harrison or Aaronson for the right flank against Wolves. The latter was the choice against Fulham.

Leeds fans have responded to James Marshment’s poll below, and the decision is clear. At the time of writing, it has Harrison at 80% and Aaronson 20%.

One consideration might be that Harrison has a great record against Wolves, even if he has struggled playing as a right-sided winger for Everton previously.

They may be somewhat inconsistent, but he has set-piece delivery. That could be vital against Wolves to unlock the height within this Leeds team.

Daniel Farke’s comments on Jack Harrison ahead of Wolves

It’s clear that Harrison is more suited to the left, but Okafor won’t be taken out of that position. That is why Leeds United News has predicted Farke to make two changes to his Leeds starting XI, including Harrison as the right winger.

During the press conference, Farke was also asked whether Harrison’s good record at Wolves would come into the thinking. He responded: “This is something I would label a bit like a coincidence, individual statistics for a different team as well.

“Just because he scored for Everton doesn’t mean he has an advantage at Leeds United. Jack is a good player and I really like him. I really like what he does in training. He’s working hard. That’s also the reason why he was more or less in nearly each and every game.

“So far, also on the pitch, not in the starting line-up, so far at least not in the Premier League games, but if he continues with his hard work, he has all chances also to be in the starting lineup one day, and then it’s up to him to grab the chance with both hands.

“Jack is always in my mind and always a good option, especially also due to the fact that, in our offensive position, it’s not like we have delivered too many end products in all the other positions.

“So, for all the players, a chance to chip in and to cement their place and to deliver, but not just because he has scored for his former club. This has no advantage for him for the upcoming game.”
