Noah Okafor is out of Leeds United’s trip to Burnley and could also miss the clash with West Ham United as well.
Leeds United’s Swiss winger has been a crucial player at the start of the campaign, having scored twice in the last three games for the Whites.
Leeds’ injury issues have been mounting and the timing is unfortunate and ironic after Graham Smyth praised Noah Okafor’s physical transformation. Daniel Farke confirmed Okafor was a doubt for Leeds facing Burnley.
That was before confirmation of Okafor’s injury from Fabrizio Romano. The wide forward can be a match-winner and a huge attacking differential for Leeds, but he could miss more than just Burnley.

Leeds United fans can’t believe the situation after Noah Okafor reveal
It’s a shame given the magnitude of the fixture, and with the Swiss Leeds forward showcasing his talent against sides in and around the relegation picture already.
Okafor helped break Leeds records against Wolves, while his ball-carrying and ability to beat players can be a huge help in taking Leeds up the pitch or via counter-attacks in transition.
It’s for those reasons that Okafor is in elite company for dribblers in Europe so far this season. Standing at 6’1″, his physical profile is impressive, but he combines it with pace and explosivity.
Leeds have five options who can play out wide, but Willy Gnonto is out and Dan James is returning from an issue. They took to X (formerly Twitter) to complain about the Jack Harrison and Brenden Aaronson situation.
Another stated: “Harrison, DCL and Aaronson tomorrow then. Either that or we wheel Dan James out. #LUFC”
A further response read: “We are going to have a wing pairing of Jack Harrison & Brendan Aaronson in the Prem in 2025”
Some fans are not planning to tune in after the reveal, stating: “Harrison Aaronson wing pairing I am NOT watching 😭😭”
The overarching point is regarding the ‘disbelief’ over a lack of depth, be that from letting Largie Ramazani go or from not making another signing to bolster their ranks. A final post read: “Almost like we could have done with signing another winger. Crazy right?”

Noah Okafor’s injury issues during his career so far
Prior to the signing of Okafor, his injury issues were laid bare. It’s why some fans are so frustrated with the latest development.
Last season, five injuries ruled Okafor out of a total of 11 Serie A games, with a calf muscle tear suffered in December 2024 keeping him out of the side for just over a month.
Okafor also missed 14 games the season prior, including just under a month out with a hamstring injury in November. His most significant injury lay-off then came in 2023.
That was when a fractured metatarsal kept Okafor out for more than three months. Concerningly, he has suffered a series of muscular injuries since then, which is a cause for concern for Leeds.
Now, they are seeing why this was always likely to come up as an issue at some stage in the campaign. However, it still doesn’t stop Leeds fans from being frustrated at the latest development.
