Leeds United fans all saying the same thing about Daniel Farke after news coming out of Nottingham Forest

Leeds United have Daniel Farke in charge but other Premier League clubs, such as Nottingham Forest, have already moved on just three games into the season.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been relieved of his duties at Forest as the first managerial sacking of the summer in the Premier League, despite securing the same number of points as Leeds United with four.

Daniel Farke’s side are yet to score a goal in open play in the Premier League, but they have two clean sheets from two home fixtures thus far. That aspect is what is more likely to keep them in the English top flight.

Leeds have a taller and stronger core, such is the recruitment strategy for the 2025/26 Premier League season. Every signing has been 5’11” or more and seven have been 6’2″ or more.

Leeds United supporters call for Nuno Espirito Santo to replace Daniel Farke

In a variety of ways, Leeds had a squad perhaps more stylistically close to Farke’s ideals in the Championship. The current team could be argued as closer to what Nuno had with Forest and also at Wolves.

The 49ers are said to have considered sacking Farke and it’s why a number of Leeds fans took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to react to the news that Nuno has been sacked, with many already eyeing him in case things go south with Farke.

Another Leeds supporter said: “Get Nuno done and sack Farke dont even blink twice lads #LUFC”

A pair of similar responses read: “Farke you’re on thin ice buddy” and “Thank you Farke, but if Nuno is free then we should sign him up asap.”

Leeds have a favourable run of games coming up and another stated: “No wins in next 3 for Farke and we should be all over this #lufc”

Another Leeds fan was more to the point regarding their thoughts: “SACK FARKE AND BRING.”

Leeds’ upcoming fixtures are absolutely crucial for Daniel Farke

Richard Keys says Paraag Marathe only kept Farke because Jose Mourinho turned Leeds down to remain at Fenerbahce. Others are now thinking Nuno could be ideal for the Whites, however.

An Everton fan called Daniel also stated: “If I was Leeds I’d sack farke asap and beg him.”

Of course, it feels too early to say anything or act upon this, but Leeds may well be minded to move swiftly if the coming fixtures don’t go to plan.

Nuno is suited to coaching an underdog with strong players in transition, with his robust and counter-attacking style perfect for the type of team Leeds have built.
