Leeds United’s Ethan Ampadu enjoyed himself more than any other fan or player during the parade on Monday afternoon.
Leeds’ title parade was a special occasion for the huge number of supporters in attendance after Daniel Farke’s side finished on 100 points, beating Burnley to the title on goal difference.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 46 | 29 | 13 | 4 | 95 | 30 | 65 | 100 | |
| 2 | 46 | 28 | 16 | 2 | 69 | 16 | 53 | 100 | |
| 3 | 46 | 28 | 8 | 10 | 63 | 36 | 27 | 90 | |
| 4 | 46 | 21 | 13 | 12 | 58 | 44 | 14 | 76 |
During the celebrations, Ampadu was the conductor of the majority of the chants going on, and was reveling in every moment after a season like no other. He has been relegated thrice and lost in last year’s play-off final during his last four seasons, meaning this triumph was extra special on a personal level.
The 24-year-old was front and centre during the celebrations, which saw the city centre become a sea of yellow, white, and blue for much of Monday to watch their Leeds heroes partying across three open-top buses.

Ampadu’s message to Leeds following Monday’s celebrations
The boozing and partying has been relentless at Leeds over the last fortnight or so, for both the players and fans alike. Having beaten Plymouth Argyle in injury time on the final day of the season, the Leeds squad ramped those celebrations up further with a trophy to boot.
The parade eventually ended when the half-cut Leeds players returned to Elland Road, with the squad now set to go on holiday and have a break during the off-season before pre-season ahead of a Premier League adventure for many of them next term.
One player who will definitely be a part of their plans, who is someone to build the side around, is Ampadu. He enjoyed himself yesterday, with the Leeds skipper posting shortly after the parade ended when he was back in LS11 to explain that it was the ‘best day’ of his life.
He has since ended his silence following that with a post on Twitter/X to explain his feelings further on what he got up to yesterday.
Despite potentially outing Junior Firpo’s next move, Ampadu had no time for apologies for anyone or anything he did. He simply wrote: “What a day”. For everyone involved in Leeds as a club, it most certainly was a day to remember.

Ethan Ampadu’s 2023/24 and 2024/25 compared
Two separate knee issues meant the Welshman’s best attribute was not what it was last season. Availability is the best ability and he missed just one game last season when he was rested in a cup-tie against Plymouth Argyle.
| Season | Appearances | Starts | Games missed | Minutes | Goals | Assists |
| 2023/24 | 54 | 54 | 1 | 4860 | 2 | 2 |
| 2024/25 | 32 | 29 | 17 | 2549 | 0 | 0 |
His knee issues were separate problems in October and February, including one in each knee, and they saw him miss 17 Championship matches after an ever-present record last season.
Ampadu’s quality and dependability when first are absolutely without question. He is one of the players you can hang your hat on being the most ‘Premier League ready’ in the current squad — Leeds will need plenty more of those types this summer.
