Larry Nance Jr has responded to a Leeds United fan on Twitter when asked who the 49ers will appoint as the club’s next manager – answering by stating he has little say in who the man to replace Sam Allardyce will be this summer.
Nance Jr, an NBA player for the New Orleans Pelicans, is one of the 60 members that are included within the 49ers Enterprises takeover of Leeds. He has been very vocal on Twitter, hinting at the takeover and talking to supporters.
Leeds, meanwhile, have been linked with a number of new managers. Brendan Rodgers, Carlos Corberan, Graham Potter, Scott Parker, Steven Gerrard, Carlos Carvalhal and Daniel Farke – just to name a few of the names touted.
Now, Nance Jr has given some communication from behind the scenes regarding the next Leeds boss – and hinted at the level of involvement he will have, himself. He says that he does not know, and is in the same position as fans.

Gerrard seems to be off to Saudi Arabia, and links with Potter have died down – as they have with Parker. Most of the talk seems to be around Farke and Rodgers, as well as a return for West Bromwich Albion manager Corberan.
Carvalhal, meanwhile, has confirmed he is leaving La Liga side Celta Vigo as he looks for his 22nd managerial role. Leeds are said to be in talks, as per Esporte IG. With the 49ers in place, hopefully there is movement this week.
Indeed, Leeds need a manager, yesterday. Someone who can come in and start planning straight away to get the squad in a position to mount an instant promotion back to the Premier League. But it needs to be done quickly.
