Leeds United’s Jayden Bogle is set for a return to action against AFC Bournemouth, following his early substitution against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Now a Premier League defender again, Jayden Bogle started Leeds United’s campaign well. However, during the match at Molineux, it was the 82nd minute when he went down after competing for a header.
A Wolves player landed awkwardly on his foot. Bogle’s boot came off in the clash and it was immediately clear he was in serious discomfort. After treatment, the right-back was forced to limp his way back to the changing room.
Daniel Farke could not provide an immediate Bogle assessment. It looked likely to be a major blow regarding the 25-year-old, especially with Bogle one of Leeds’ best signings under Farke.

Jayden Bogle underlines his importance to Leeds United
Bogle was in the PFA’s 2024/25 Team of the Season in the Championship. Bogle has serious competition from James Justin now, though. That will keep him on his toes, but he will be desperate to continue his regular starting role.
Bogle scored and impressed against Sheffield Wednesday, with his start to life back in the Premier League being one of the most impressive things about Leeds’ return thus far.
Bogle’s pre-season performance against Man United was a good early indicator of what was to come, and he won the club’s August Player of the Month award.
Bogle is fit for Leeds against Bournemouth, as he has returned to training. Farke said: “With Jayden, good news. He is back in team training. Thank God it was nothing too serious, just a bruise. “He will be available.
It’s needed, with Bogle’s importance underlined by the key stats he is standing out in. The reveal comes via LUFCDATA on X (formerly Twitter).
He’s been a creative influence in carrying the ball forward, but his defensive numbers are also shining through in the early games of 2025/26.
That’s because Bogle has made more ball recoveries (29), progressive carries (16), and successful tackles and interceptions combined (17) than any other Leeds player in the Premier League this season.

Sheffield United fans will be incredibly frustrated about Jayden Bogle fee with Leeds
Graham Smyth explained previously that one way to create financial wiggle room would have been to sell key players for PSR headroom. However, amid that, he praised Bogle’s recent rise in a Leeds shirt.
Bogle’s Leeds performances will frustrate Sheffield United, per Smyth. He said: “Ao Tanaka [is one] because he was signed for pittance and could now be worth — I don’t even want to put a number on it because he’s absolutely fantastic.
“Jayden Bogle was signed for £5 million. That is looking worse and worse for Sheffield United all the time, you know, particularly with the way he started this season.
“He started this season in the Premier League better than he started last season in the Championship. Players like that.”
