Former Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch was a studio guest in yesterday’s Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.
Marsch is now over 12 months on from his departure at Elland Road but is still yet to make a return to management, despite having been linked with numerous jobs across the footballing world.
Though Marsch was sacked long before Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League was confirmed, there is no doubt he played a major role in it and so was asked about whether he still keeps up with the Whites’ results.
He admitted that he does and is also delighted to see Leeds doing so well, stating they are a club who belong in the Premier League. But there is one man in particular he is pleased to see shining.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News before the commencement of Monday Night Football, Marsch shared his delight at how Archie Gray has established himself in the first team at Leeds.

He said: “Yes, I have. They are playing good football. It’s good to see a lot of the young lads that were establishing themselves when I was there really starting to play well.
“It’s good to see Archie Gray establishing himself as a good young talent. I am really happy for him. I think they are on a pathway right now to get themselves back in the Premier League.”
Gray would’ve perhaps been used as early as last season at Leeds but suffered with a number of frustrating injury issues which prevented that.
The 17-year-old featured heavily in pre-season under Marsch back in the summer of 2022, and in fairness to the former Leeds boss, he knew from very early on just how much potential he has.
Thankfully this season Gray has been able to put those injury troubles behind him and become a first team regular at Leeds. It is fair to say he just continues to get better and better, no matter the position he plays.
