Leeds Uniited have one of the youngest squads across the entirety of the Championship.
The Whites had only three players in their starting line-up over the age of 25 in the 4-0 demolition of Swansea City last night.
In fact, as per transfermarkt, only Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers have a younger average age of players used this season.
Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe and Willy Gnonto (2) were all on the scoresheet for Leeds last night but it was the performance of a different youngster who Jon Newsome praised after the match.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, Newsome believes it is easy to forget that Archie Gray is just 17-years-old due to the level of intelligence he displays on the pitch week-in, week-out.
Newsome hails Gray intelligence
He said: “I think sometimes it is quite easy to forget he is only 17. You look at him now and he’s like this experienced, quality footballer. He’s a kid! But he’s not a kid, he’s a kid in a man’s body with a man’s mentality. He is way wise beyond his years… absolutely superb young man.”
Gray provided a brilliant assist for Gnonto’s first of two goals last night, as he located his run with a pinpoint through ball in behind the defence for the 20-year-old to run onto and score.

Despite playing out of position, Gray just continues to get better and better in that right-back role and Connor Roberts may well struggle to force his way into the side after joining from Burnley.
Roberts will have come in and been hoping to play regularly but Gray is just making himself undroppable in that position at the moment.
Gray has big aspirations for what he wants to go on and achieve in his career but for how ever long he is at Leeds, it is going to be incredible to see how he develops.
