Daniel Farke is ‘pretty confident’ Leeds United can keep hold of Luis Sinisterra, Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville.

Farke was speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday, where transfers were hot on the agenda.

The Whites have managed to bring in eight players so far this summer but the focus of deadline day has very much been on who might be going the other way.

As per various reports, Everton have re-entered talks over a possible move for Gnonto, while Sinisterra is continuing to attract interest from elsewhere as well.

According to Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, Leeds have also turned down a huge £20 million offer from Burnley for Summerville in the last 24-48 hours.

Farke ‘confident’ Leeds can keep key men

Farke claimed that while in football nothing is ever a ‘guarantee’, he is quietly optimistic Leeds will be able to keep hold of their key attacking trio.

He said: “I’m pretty confident. In this business you can’t give a guarantee. We have survived the last eight weeks and I think we look in a good place. You can never guarantee but I have to give compliments to our owners and board and people. I’m quite confident we also have a really good last eight hours.”

Keeping hold of all three would arguably be the best piece of business Leeds do all summer, even with marquee arrivals such as Joel Piroe, Ethan Ampadu and Djed Spence.

In the handful of games each of them have been involved in, they have already shown they are a cut above this level and keeping them together will only enhance Leeds’ chances of promotion.

Of course, there is still what feels like an eternity until the window officially slams shut, but as each hour passes, the more confidence that all three can be kept.
