It isn’t the first time that Daniel Farke has joked about Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville’s exuberant personalities – and on Monday, he teased that sometimes they give him a “headache”.
Rutter and Summerville were excellent again on Saturday, with Rutter sliding a ball into Summerville for the pocket-sized talent to score the first of his brace. The duo have a wonderful on-pitch relationship.
Clearly, they have a good one off of it, too. Clips posted on social media, whether it be Rutter’s tunnel video – like celebrating with Connor Roberts at Plymouth – or screaming 49ers, shows what he is like.
Speaking on Monday afternoon, Farke joked that the duo given him a headache when he is with them all the time – and hinted he runs to his office for a bit of breathing space. But said it is good to have them.
“You need these players. When you see them, you just have to smile. I’m fortunate I get my own office. When you get Georginio Rutter or Cree Summerville the whole day, 24/7, you would get a headache.
“When it gets too much, I can hide in my office. The older players, like Liam Cooper or Sam Byram, can tell them it is too much and it is enough. It’s great to have these kind of players. Love this bunch of lads.”

Whatever is happening behind the scenes in regards to coping mechanisms when it comes to Rutter and Summerville’s personalities – it is working. The duo are arguably the best two in the Championship.
Indeed, Ross McCormack says Summerville is the best player in the entire division. Hopefully, both stars can continue to add to their goals and assists in Wales on Tuesday night – when Leeds take on Swansea.
