Leeds United have 10 first-team stars on international duty over the October break and here is who they will be playing against.

It’s been a good start to the Premier League season for Leeds United, even if some agonising late goals have seen precious points slip through their fingers.

Daniel Farke’s side are competing well in the top flight and currently sit 12th in the Premier League table after their opening six games.

Now the season will once again go on hiatus after the weekend, with international football taking precedence in the October international break.

10 Leeds first-teamers are currently set to jet off to play for their countries, and here’s how you can watch them in action.

Leeds once again have a strong contingent of players in the Wales squad for the international break, with four players called up.

Captain Ethan Ampadu is back in the squad after missing out with injury in September, joining Joe Rodon and Karl Darlow.

Strangely, Dan James has been named in the squad but will likely drop out as he is dealing with an injury.

Gabriel Gudmundsson has enjoyed a great start to life at Leeds and has probably been the club’s best-performing new signing so far, even taking his costly own goal against Fulham into account.

It’s no surprise that he’s been named in the Sweden squad for their important qualifiers.

Unlike Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol has endured a frustrating start at Leeds as he can’t get in the team ahead of Rodon and Pascal Struijk.

Slovenia manager Mataz Kek understands why Bijol isn’t playing but is certain he will get a chance. The international break gives him a great opportunity to get some minutes under his belt.

Ilia Gruev has slipped out of Farke’s starting XI in recent weeks due to the success of Ampadu, Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach.

The international break will be useful for Gruev to get his match sharpness up.

Not many would have predicted the star of the Championship title triumph being consigned to the bench, but that’s what’s happening to Ao Tanaka at present.

An injury and then the form of Farke’s midfield has seen Tanaka struggle for minutes since his return but he has still managed to make the Japan squad.

Mauricio Pochettino seemingly can’t make up his mind on Brenden Aaronson, as the USMNT manager repeatedly names him in the squad before dropping him for the next one.

Aaronson wasn’t called up in September, despite being fit, but is now in the team once again after some promising performances in the Premier League.
