Rising Leeds United star Harry Gray has received yet more praise after being named in a prestigious list of Next Generation talents.

Harry Gray is one of the most highly rated young players in the country, having forced his way into the fringes of Leeds’ Premier League squad.

Having recently turned 17, Leeds are hoping to tie Gray down to extended terms as he looks to make his top-flight debut under Daniel Farke.

Gray joined the likes of James Milner in an exclusive club at Leeds after being named in a Premier League matchday squad before his 17th birthday against Wolves.

Now, the talented young forward has been named in a prestigious list that recognises the best young talent in the Premier League as his meteoric rise continues.

Harry Gray named in prestigious Premier League list

Gray has caught the eye with a string of impressive performances for the Leeds under-21s this season, which has earned him a place in a list of the most promising young talents in the top flight.

Appearing in the Next Generation 2025 in The Guardian, which aims to select the 20 best talents in the Premier League, Gray is described as a “first-year scholar with a difference”.

Describing what makes Gray such a special talent, Louise Taylor states: “Harry Gray is a first-year scholar with a difference. Unlike his fellow school leavers, Gray has already played for Daniel Farke’s first team.

The report continues: “While his academy peers will play for the Under-18s this season, he established himself as a regular, and wonderfully two-footed, scorer for the Under-21s last term and is an England Under-17 international.

“Gray, who excels as both a No. 9 and a No. 10, also trained regularly with the first team last season and joined Farke’s seniors on pre-season trips to Germany and Sweden this summer.”

Leeds United Under-21 squad will provide Harry Gray fitness clue

Gray missed Leeds’ game against Tottenham with a hip flexor injury, and Farke did not explicitly state how long the young striker is expected to be out for.

With Leeds’ season set to resume with a difficult trip to face Burnley, Farke will be keen to have his young star available for the tricky game against the Lancastrian side.

Leeds under-21s face Athletic Bilbao in an International Premier League Cup fixture on 15th October (Wednesday), and all eyes will be on the squad to see if Gray is included.

If he has recovered in time to face Bilbao, he could still take his place in the squad against Burnley in a boost to Daniel Farke.
