Wilfried Gnonto is not currently pushing for a Leeds United exit despite reports from his native Italy.
That is according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth, who says Gnonto is showing ‘no burning desire’ to move on from Elland Road this summer.
Gnonto made his return to pre-season training earlier this week after being granted an extra week off following his international exploits with Italy’s senior and U21s sides.
Leeds shared a photograph of Gnonto back at Thorp Arch on Thursday night with the 19-year-old in contention to feature for the first time under Daniel Farke against AS Monaco tomorrow.
San Francisco 49ers Enterprises have earmarked Gnonto as someone they want to keep this season, though that has not stopped the vast amount of speculation.

Everton are the club who have been most heavily linked this summer with reports from Italy even going as far as saying his agent was in London earlier this week finalising a move.
Various reports, particularly from his homeland, have suggested he is pushing for a return to the Premier League, though that appears to be wide of the mark.
In fact, as per Phil Hay, Leeds could even look to tempt Gnonto into staying by offering him a new deal after such an impressive debut campaign.
Gnonto still has four years left on his current deal at Elland Road and does not have a relegation release clause, putting Leeds in a decent position.
If Gnonto is happy to stay, and Leeds are strong enough to reject bids, it will be a huge boost.
