Gabby Agbonlahor tells Leeds United to make major ‘change’ for their own good

Leeds United will want to prove doubters wrong and secure safety in the Premier League next season.

Gabby Agbonlahor is one of these doubters, as Agbonlahor sees Leeds being relegated along with many others.

But Daniel Farke will want to prove everyone wrong, and that’s exactly why he’s been kept as Paraag Marathe admires Farke’s belief.

It will be a difficult task, and no doubt major investment will be needed at Leeds this summer.

However, this time, Agbonlahor has made a more compelling point, which Farke might want to listen to.

Of course, with a large overhaul happening in the summer, Farke will know he has to make sacrifices.

Not every sacrifice is welcomed though, as Junior Firpo is set to exit Leeds and no doubt Farke would want him to stay.

But this can open opportunities for Leeds to abide by PSR in the future, which could help them in the Premier League.

The behind-the-scenes work can only do so much though, and Agbonlahor has instead focused on Farke’s style of play.

Speaking to talkSPORT (13 May, 6:09 am), the controversial pundit questioned the Leeds manager’s philosophy in the top flight.

“Do you know what they need to do? They need to change the way they play. Try and be hard to beat.”

Farke could take inspiration from Scott Parker at Leeds

Both Burnley and Leeds will find it difficult, no matter what they do in the Premier League next season.

Although both sides were very equal this season, the Clarets might have the upper hand after their excellent defensive record.

Troy Deeney thinks Burnley stay up and Leeds go down due to this factor, as conceding just 16 could prove they’re hard to beat in the top flight.

However, the step up will be a major change, but it might be one Farke should look into.

Although Leeds have bettered Burnley’s expected goals against, which could give them the edge against the top teams, Farke would be wise to take a leaf out of Scott Parker’s book.
