Former Leeds United defender Dom Matteo says Crysencio Summerville’s ability to make something happen every time he gets the ball is a joy to watch.
Summerville has been in electric form over the last couple of months and has already amassed seven goals and six assists over the course of this season.
The 21-year-old was once again one of the stars of the show in Wednesday night’s 3-1 victory over Swansea City, and speaking on LUTV, Matteo was full of praise for his display.
Matteo was not the only one impressed by Summerville’s performance, with Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney hailing him as ‘majestic’ on Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Special.
He also touted the possibility of a January exit for the Dutchman, suggesting that Leeds could find it tough to keep hold of him, such was the level of his performance.
Summerville to be key again vs Middlesbrough
Speaking ahead of today’s game against Middlesbrough, Matteo says Summerville looks as though he could create something in the final third, every time he touches the ball.
He said: “Summerville again was great. Every time he gets on the ball he looks to me like he is going to make something happen.”

Bradley Johnson claimed that Summerville ‘terrified’ Swansea’s defence all evening on Wednesday night and Leeds will need a similar performance from him today.
Boro are a step up in class from Swansea and so they will have to be somewhere close to their best to get another three points, something which Summerville will be crucial to.
Daniel Farke said in his press conference yesterday that he is constantly one at Summerville to maintain his standards in training, and so hopefully that carries over into the game.
