Daniel Farke will be unsure of what the next step is for Leeds United this season.

Leeds’ failures in the Championship continue, and Farke is now under serious pressure.

One win in six games sums up where the Whites stand at the moment, as Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Luton sees them slump into the playoffs.

Dan James’ wonder strike wasn’t enough for Leeds to turn the game around, as Farke might be under scrutiny from the ownership.

But there is one element that has been out of Farke’s hands, and that rests on the EFL’s choices this season.

EFL decision has really hurt Leeds United after Luton draw

The game proved that the Whites might have peaked too early on in the season, and who knows what will come out of Leeds’ remaining fixtures.

Following the draw at Kenilworth Road, Farke’s concerns may heighten as Pascal Struijk was spotted limping.

It’s a serious concern to lose a leader in the dressing room, as the squad will need motivation more than ever.

Farke might point the finger at the EFL though, as Leeds have been handed continuous early kick-offs.

This trend could derail Leeds’ promotion pursuit as the early Luton goal meant that out of the last 11 early kick-off games, the opposition has scored first on seven occasions.

Leeds conceding first does not bode well for the Whites, who seem not to respond well to a setback when it’s early doors.

The trend will only continue in the Championship if Leeds fail

There isn’t a good scenario that comes out of this discovery for Leeds, as failure to get promoted will only mean early kick-offs continue next season.

The draw to Luton means Leeds have only won 2 out of their last 15 early games, which sums it all up for Farke.

Farke already had an advantage though as Leeds starting early had Sam Allardyce suggesting it was a silver lining.

Matters are only made worse regarding this revelation, as Leeds still have two early kick-offs remaining this season.

Fans might have reached their breaking point with Farke, as Leeds’ worse nightmare of the playoffs might soon become a reality.
