There will be plenty of debate about who are the favourites to take the Championship this year, but pundit Don Goodman has already made up his mind.
It will certainly be a bold claim to decide the winners of the Championship with 14 games still remaining in the season.
The title race is shaping up to be a four-horse race with Leeds United at the front of the pack, as the second tier is proving once again why it’s one of the best in the world.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 32 | 20 | 9 | 3 | 66 | 19 | 47 | 69 | |
| 2 | 32 | 21 | 6 | 5 | 46 | 23 | 23 | 67 | |
| 3 | 32 | 17 | 13 | 2 | 39 | 9 | 30 | 64 | |
| 4 | 32 | 17 | 11 | 4 | 49 | 28 | 21 | 62 |
Burnley and Sheffield United are looking like the Whites’ real competitors, especially after Leeds’ rivals Burnley haven’t conceded in 10 games.
Well-experienced EFL pundit Goodman has now revealed his thoughts on who will emerge victorious.

Don Goodman predicts if Leeds United will win the Championship
Goodman backed Leeds for top two last season so it might not be wise to completely trust his prediction.
Nevertheless, the former striker has already decided his view on who is winning the Championship this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports Soccer Saturday on Tuesday, Goodman said: “I do think Leeds are by far and away the best team in this league.
“Ultimately, I do see them going on and winning the league relatively comfortably.
“In terms of who comes next, it’s impossible at this moment in time to call.”
Leeds can banish Sunderland from title race on Monday night
With the top three seemingly the frontrunners, Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland are just tracking behind, but Daniel Farke can put an end to that.
Chris Wilder’s already playing mind games on Leeds as Sheffield United have emerged as the Whites’ real threat, but Le Bris’ side are beginning to fizzle out.
Earlier on in the season, you would’ve backed the Mackams for promotion, but Leeds have been phenomenal taking the lead brilliantly.
On Monday, they can make it 15 games unbeaten, and cement a 10-point gap over Sunderland, all but ending Le Bris’ title pursuit.
