Leeds United legend Dominic Matteo believes there is one Leeds United player that no opposition will want to face after his statement performance against Wolves.
Daniel Farke will be delighted with the nature of his side’s performance at Molineux, after several of his new signings impressed in a statement win over Wolves.
Gabriel Gudmundsson appears to have solved Leeds’ long-running issue at left-back after an impressive start to the season, and Anton Stach showed his calibre from dead-balls by becoming the first player to score their first Premier League goal from a direct free-kick since Kalvin Phillips in 2021.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin also announced himself to the Leeds fans by scoring his first goal for the club, with a brilliant looping header.
After the game, Matteo explained why no Premier League club will want to face the England international, after his best display in a Leeds shirt to date.

Dominic Matteo praises Leeds United goalscorer
Speaking to LUTV after the game, Matteo spoke highly of Calvert-Lewin’s all-round contribution to the victory at Molineux.
Calvert-Lewin provided the perfect riposte to chants in his direction by the Wolves fans, and Matteo believes that his goal will have fired a warning shot to the rest of the Premier League.
The former Leeds captain said: “With Dominic coming in, if Leeds can keep him fit, he could be the key.
“I’ve mentioned this before, he’s key for us now because of the way he plays and no one wants to be up against him when he’s at it.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin ‘deserved’ Wolves goal
Calvert-Lewin was criticised by Ally McCoist in the build-up to the game for missing a similar header against Fulham, and he has been plagued by a perception that he is not clinical throughout his career.
However, according to FotMob, his header against Wolves carried an xG of just 0.14, proving that he can turn less-than-half-chances into goals if he is provided with the right service, which Jayden Bogle provided.

But Matteo was impressed by more than just his finishing, as he argued that his goal was a reward for a strong all-round display. He continued: “[Calvert-Lewin has] still got a lot of work to do. He’s got a lot of bodies around him.
“He’s the one who wanted to get his head on it more than anybody else, and it’s just his strength. He just leaps, he jumps earlier than anyone else, and he’s just a brilliant header and a well-deserved goal. For the effort and work that he put in, he certainly deserved that goal.”
