Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has been warned that he now has to defy the odds in the next three Premier League games to avoid losing his job.
Daniel Farke is running out of road at Leeds after an alarming downturn in results has seen his side drop into the Premier League relegation places.
Leeds are now predicted to drop back into the Championship following their defeat against Aston Villa, which saw them surrender a lead for the second week in a row.
Heading into the game against Nottingham Forest, Farke was reported to have five games to save his job, two of which have now ended in defeat.
As Leeds prepare to travel to the Etihad for a daunting fixture against Manchester City, Farke has been told that he now has to defy the odds and remain in charge at Elland Road.
The pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke… should Leeds United sack him?⌛
Daniel Farke warned he needs a surprise win to save his job at Leeds United
Speaking on TalkSport Breakfast on 25th November alongside Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist, The Athletic’s Beren Cross warned that Farke may need to pull off a surprise result to save his job.
Jesse Marsch secured a temporary reprieve with Leeds by winning against Liverpool at Anfield in the 2022/23 season, and Cross believes Farke may need something similar in the coming weeks.
He said: “The previous losses at Forest and at Brighton were very, very damaging and demoralising. There was a definite improvement on Sunday, but I just wonder whether there was enough improvement to really satisfy people.

“There were no noises from the club yesterday, good or bad, either backing him or suggesting there might be a change.
“So clearly, they are giving some thought to this before they come out and say something or start briefing the local journalists. So it will be interesting to see what they do. You guys will know there are various dynamics in that.
“Do you let a new manager go and take on the City, Chelsea, Liverpool games, and risk losing the new manager bounce, but getting on with it, giving them time on the training pitch with them? Or do you give Farke these three Hail Marys to maybe try and save his job?”

Leeds United desperately need to improve against top-half teams
With Leeds’ next four games all against teams in the top half of the Premier League table, as things stand, Daniel Farke desperately needs to find a way to improve his side’s record against higher-ranked opposition.
According to the data from Football365, Leeds have the second-worst record of any team in the Premier League against teams in the top half of the table.
Daniel Farke is statistically Leeds’ worst Premier League manager 📉
Leeds have played five games against teams in the top 10 at kick-off this season, suffering four defeats and claiming one draw, with no wins to show for their efforts.
Only West Ham have a worse record, with just one point from their six games against top-half teams.
If Leeds match their recent form over the next five games, they could be cut adrift before the fixture list gets any easier.
