It was hard to pick out many standpoints from a Leeds United point of view against Burnley but Daniel Farke was in awe of a certain player.
Leeds and Burnley played an underwhelming 0-0 draw at Turf Moor on Monday night as the Championship table doesn’t take too much of a shake-up.
Despite a dull performance, Curtis Davies fancies Leeds to go up as Farke’s side remains firm favourites sitting top of the tree.

Farke hailed Ilia Gruev against Burnley as the defensive midfielder did a sound job in keeping Clarets captain Josh Brownhill quiet.
However, the Leeds boss saw one player stand out above all after his performance for the Whites.

Daniel Farke praises ‘remarkable’ Joe Rodon for Leeds United
Adding onto Gruev, Michael Bridges praised Jayden Bogle, as a common theme was set after the game in terms of where the best performances took place.
It would be quite difficult to praise attackers in a 0-0 draw, as Farke made his feelings clear for Joe Rodon after the game.
Rodon played a major role in Leeds keeping their fourth consecutive clean sheet in all competitions, as Farke is clearly a strong admirer of the 27-year-old who signed from Tottenham for £10 million last summer.
“He deserves lots of praise. What Joe (Rodon) has done is remarkable,” Farke said in his post-match press conference.
Rodon’s game in numbers for Leeds against Burnley
It was a fixture surrounded by a lot of hype but certainly didn’t live up to the billing.
Dan James had the best and only real chance in the game, as his shot was thwarted away by James Trafford in the 89th minute, making it the first and only shot on target in the game.
Farke was frustrated by James’ miss but he certainly wasn’t frustrated at the performance of Rodon, who racked up some impressive numbers.
| Joe Rodon’s statistics in Burnley 0-0 Leeds United | |
| Minutes played | 90 |
| Accurate passes % | 83/90 (92%) |
| Passes into final third | 5 |
| Recoveries | 7 |
| Aerial duels won % | 4/5 (80%) |
Both defences played their part on Monday night, but it’s safe to say this game wasn’t exactly one for the neutrals.
