Leeds United weren’t at their best in 2-1 win over Watford and that was reflected in one touchline moment from Daniel Farke in the first half.
Leeds had looked to be on the way to their most emphatic win of the season after racing into a two-goal lead inside seven minutes thanks to goals from Largie Ramazani and Brenden Aaronson.
However, Leeds seemed to take their foot off the gas after Aaronson’s third of the season and at one point, looked in danger of allowing Watford to escape with a point.
Hornets boss Tom Cleverley believes his side were dominant for 55 minutes and though they did see plenty of the ball between that period, Leeds did a fairly good job at keeping them at arm’s length.
That said, Farke could clearly feel the game drifting even when Leeds were 2-0 ahead, and at one point, had to make his frustration known at his players.

Why Farke was raging at Wilfried Gnonto in Leeds win
Leeds have arguably the best crop of wingers in the Championship and it would be fair to say the three behind the striker were ripping Watford apart early on.
Aaronson and Wilfried Gnonto were linking up nicely down the right, while Ramazani was also a constant threat until he had to be substituted due to injury after 15 minutes.
Ramazani’s withdrawal seemed to knock a lot of the stuffing out of Leeds and for large periods of the first half, they were a little passive, all be it with Watford causing very little threat.
However, Farke sensed the fact Leeds took their foot off the gas and according to Leeds Live, one particular first half moment saw him vent at Gnonto.
As per the report, Watford worked their way down Leeds’ right flank in a fashion that was too easy for Farke’s liking.
And although it didn’t lead to a chance, Gnonto was the man he blamed for the passage of play, with the Leeds boss ‘incensed’ at the Italian’s failure to track his runner and cut out the pass.
Gnonto could move to left for Leeds vs Bristol City
Gnonto has been in excellent form as of late and was rewarded for it recently with Leeds’ player of the month award for September.
While those impressive performances came on the right, there is no doubt Gnonto is more comfortable when he is on the other flank.
Losing Ramazani to injury when he was in such fine form is not ideal, but it could see Gnonto move over to the left against Bristol City.
Dan James was more effective than Solomon off the bench last night, and could come into the XI on the right, allowing Gnonto to shift over. It is a combination that worked excellently at Sheffield Wednesday in August, which was James’ last start.
