Less than 24 hours after Leeds United’s 3-0 victory over Luton Town, Daniel Farke has been speaking ahead of the trip to Blackburn Rovers.

Leeds face yet another tight turnaround to their match at Ewood Park which will round-off a week of three matches in just six days.

One of the key topics discussed by Farke in his press conference this afternoon was injuries following a couple of minor niggles in the second half against Luton.

Sam Byram had to be replaced by Max Wober at left-back in the 58th minute, with Farke revealing post-match he was feeling his hamstring somewhat.

Farke also shared how Manor Solomon was suffering with cramp towards the latter stages of the 90 minutes.

Farke shares Leeds injury update pre-Blackburn

Rotation is going to be important for Farke this weekend, not only to keep his squad fresh, but also players happy.

Farke made just one change to his starting XI against Luton but had an absolutely stacked bench at his disposal who will all be keen to start.

Thankfully, despite the second half problems for both Byram and Solomon, it appears as though everyone in Leeds’ squad came through without any major issues.

That said, the official extent of Byram’s injury is not yet clear after he underwent a scan earlier today, with a late decision likely to be made on his availability.

He said: “Alright. Had a scan. Waiting for results. Late call tomorrow if he travels with us. We have to wait and be patient.”

Is Junior Firpo back from suspension for Leeds?

Even after the positive update on Byram there would be little point risking his fitness which could in turn cause long-term damage.

Thankfully, Farke will not have to do that as Junior Firpo is now back in contention after serving the last of a three-match ban.

Firpo was handed the suspension after Leeds’ 1-0 defeat at Millwall following an incident shortly before the final whistle involving Danny McNamara.

Farke was unhappy both at Firpo and the FA for what happened but the Leeds left-back has now served his punishment and will be a welcome boost to the squad.
