Well, Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford scored against Cardiff City away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The £7 million (Sky Sports) English striker found the back of the net in the 13th minute. Leeds won 3-0.

It was Bamford’s second goal in the Championship this season. He has made two starts and 16 substitute appearances in the league so far this campaign.

Leeds head coach Daniel Farke was impressed by Bamford’s performance against Cardiff.

While Farke has said that the 30-year-old striker is not guaranteed to start week in and week out for Leeds, he has really impressed in training and is doing his best.

Farke told Leeds Live when asked if Bamford is an automatic starter: “Not automatic because we have other good options like Rutter and Piroe. 

“Mateo has been good off the bench too, but Patrick is finding his rhythm. Training well and playing well in games. Could not relax after last week’s goal. Showed he is on it in training.

“Used his chances but you have to impress in every training session. In these positions, we have good completion at least.”

In my opinion, Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford will play his role for the team in the coming weeks and months.

The West Yorkshire club are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League, and I believe that Bamford will play his role for the team.

Bamford may not be guaranteed a place in the starting lineup, but the 30-year-old striker knows the Championship inside out.

The striker has also done well in the Championship in the past. He knows the second tier of English football inside out.

Bamford scored 16 goals in 43 Championship starts for Leeds in 2019-20.
