Daniel Farke is on borrowed time at Leeds.
Patience is running thin, with fans frustrated by both his lack of tactical proactivity during games as well as his repetitive press conferences – in which he often boasts about meaningless statistics despite losing six of the last seven Premier League outings.
Stephen Warnock has now told Daniel Farke what he must do to save his job at Leeds – but it will be a seriously tough task for the German.

Speaking on Football Focus on Saturday morning, Warnock – who made 67 appearances for Leeds – said: “I was at the game against Villa. I said they needed to score again in the first half. You have to take your opportunities, they’re not taking their chances and you have to in the Premier League.
“I do fear that if he doesn’t win the next couple he will find himself out of a job.”

The “next couple” of games for Farke come against Manchester City and Chelsea, so he has effectively been told by Warnock that he needs to beat two of the best sides in England to stay at Leeds – who are considering Brendan Rodgers as a replacement.
If the 49-year-old does manage to survive these next two games, life doesn’t get much easier as Liverpool await after the visit of Chelsea.

Many Leeds fans consider that memorable 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield back in October 2022 as a negative in the grand scheme of things.
It alleviated a lot of pressure on Jesse Marsch at the time despite concerns over the American, and he ended up keeping his job until February before being sacked.
However, it was already too late to salvage that season, as both Javi Gracia and then Sam Allardyce were unable to keep Leeds up.
If Farke does somehow manage to beat either Manchester City or Chelsea, we fear it could be a similarly false dawn for Leeds.
