Leeds United’s Daniel Farke was crowned the Championship’s manager of the month for the second month in a row.
Just like in January, Leeds had a 100 per cent record during the month of February, winning all of their five matches, scoring 13 goals and conceding just one in the process.
Last month included that memorable victory over table-topping Leicester City and this is now the third time Farke has managed to win the award this season, having made history last time he won it.
Farke became the first manager in Leeds’ history, since the award began running in 1970/71, to win it twice in the same season during his debut campaign in charge. Now, though, he has just matched something the legendary Don Revie did.
As per statistician @lufcstats on X, Farke has just equalled Revie’s record from the 1973/74 campaign of managing to win three MOTM’s in the same season, showing just what a great job he is doing.

During Leeds’ promotion campaign under Marcelo Bielsa, the iconic Argentine received the award on two occasions. The fact Farke has it three times already, yet is only third in the table, shows the standard of the Championship this season.
Leeds sit eight points clear of their tally at this stage of the season from where they were in 2019/20, but still have so much work to do if they are to finish in the top two.

In fact, without this unbelievable run of 31 points from a possible 33, Leeds would have already been out of the automatic promotion race by now. That said, during Farke’s promotion seasons at Norwich City, the second half of the campaign is where they would always come alive.
Despite these awards, unfortunately Leeds still have no margin for error if they want to keep in touch with both Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
Leeds will be looking to make it 11 wins from a possible 12 in the calendar year of 2024 when they face Sheffield Wednesday this evening.
