Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has given the timeline for defender Jayden Bogle’s return to action after he missed the draw against Manchester United.
Jayden Bogle was a surprise absentee from the Leeds side that earned a hard-fought point against Man United at Elland Road.
The full-back was named on the bench for Leeds’ trip to Liverpool on New Year’s Day, but Farke was forced to stick with James Justin for today’s game.
A minor calf injury ruled Bogle out of the draw against the Red Devils, and now, Farke has explained whether he will be in contention for the game against Newcastle United in midweek.

Daniel Farke provides Jayden Bogle fitness update
Speaking in his post-match press conference after the draw against Newcastle, via Beanyman Sports, Farke provided an update on the fitness of Bogle, as Leeds face another quick turnaround before their next game.
According to Farke, Bogle’s injury is not thought to be serious, and he could return to the Leeds squad for the game against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.
Farke said: “Hopefully he will be ready for Newcastle because, of course, it was always the plan to play him today after we’ve rested him [against Liverpool], but somehow he picked up some calf problems.
“It’s a minor calf problem. We’ve scanned him. Hopefully he’s all ready for Newcastle. Otherwise, then he will probably return on the other side of the FA Cup game.
“But we’ll miss him, at the moment, at least, looks like for a maximum of one more game.”

Leeds United trio doubtful for Newcastle United clash
However, the news was not all good from Farke’s post-match press conference, as he confirmed that three Leeds players could be ruled out of the game against the Magpies.
According to Farke, defenders Sebastiaan Bornauw and James Justin, and midfielder Ilia Gruev were all operating at close to their limit at the end of the Man United game, and a late decision will be made on their availability on Wednesday night.
Farke continued: “Bogle, for example, there is a doubt if he can feature at Newcastle, it’s too soon to say this already. For Sean Longstaff, I think it would be beneficial to have at least two training days.
Realistically, how long can Leeds United’s unbeaten run go on for?
Daniel Farke has overseen Leeds' longest Premier League unbeaten run since David O'Leary in 2001
“It’s tricky for him after being out for such a long time, and we rarely have a training session together with the team because we have to split the groups anyhow. It’s a bit tricky for a player who comes back out of injury, but they will help him, and then we will see who is ready to go.
“I have my doubts about Sebastiaan, for example. I have my doubts about whether JJ can play another game. Ilia also has not played too much before. Right now, two games, nearly two times over the whole distance. We will have to make some late decisions.”
