Leeds United take on Norwich City on Wednesday night with a win required to return to the top of the Championship table after Sheffield United’s win over Swansea City.

Chris Wilder’s men came from behind to beat Swansea in Wales after a poor first-half showing. But Rhian Brewster scored after the break before Harry Darling was sent off and Harrison Burrows netted a penalty.

Meanwhile, Sunderland secured a 1-0 win away at Derby County to reduce the gap on Leeds to two with The Whites in action against Daniel Farke’s old side Norwich on Wednesday. Burnley take on Plymouth.

Leeds go into the game after an impressive 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday but have had a day less to recover, and Daniel Farke confirmed Brenden Aaronson and Manor Solomon were doubts.

Manor Solomon absent as Daniel Farke calls up teenager

Farke suggested Aaronson would be okay for the clash against Norwich. The USA star picked up a knock to his ankle in the first half against Wednesday but lasted until the 90th minute before being replaced.

However, he was less confident with Solomon given his complaints were regarding a hamstring issue and not a physical knock like Aaronson. Now, Leeds Live report Solomon is not in the squad to face Norwich.

Aaronson is included though it is unclear if the American will start his 26th consecutive Championship match. Indeed, Leeds Live say 17-year-old Sam Chambers has been included in the 19-man squad.

Sam Chambers absent in U21’s game suggests involvement

On Tuesday night, Leeds U21 side took on Tamworth in the National League Cup and suffered a 2-1 loss with Cian Coleman continuing his excellent form after a superb spell on loan with non-league Buxton.

Scotland U19 star Chambers was nowhere to be seen though and it might be that he was kept fresh for Norwich just in case. Chambers was last included in the squad against Oxford United in December.

Chambers is well-liked by Farke having handed the attacker his debut against Plymouth, with Chambers also scoring in pre-season against Harrogate. He has only made the bench for six league games.
