Despite being somewhere below their best, Leeds United were able to defeat Championship league leaders Leicester City 3-1.
The Whites were trailing Leicester for over an hour under the lights at Elland Road but launched an incredible second half comeback to earn a ninth consecutive Championship win.
Wout Faes had given the away side an early lead and it was not until the 80th minute that Leeds got themselves back on level terms through Connor Roberts, before Archie Gray’s deflected strike then turned the game on its head.
Patrick Bamford diverted a Dan James free-kick in stoppage time to round off the scoring, but there was one man who was at the heart of all three goals – Georginio Rutter.
For 80 minutes Rutter just could not get anything going and according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, his frequent losses of possession left Daniel Farke frustrated on the touchline in the first half.

Having lost the ball on 25 occasions last week at Plymouth Argyle, Rutter was actually even more wasteful last night with 29 loss of possessions.
However, Rutter is the type of player who is always looking to try something when he has the ball and so not every game is it going to work out for him all the time.
However, as proven in both matches, you simply can’t take him off. He got a goal and an assist last week, and played a vital role in all of Leeds’ three goals last night.
It was his dart into the box that led to Roberts pouncing on a loose ball to equalise, his pass for Gray’s winner, and his slaloming run that won the free-kick for the third.
He may cause Farke and supporters to be frustrated at times, but ultimately his output and willingness to keep working is so important to the team.
