Joe Rodon continues to shine for Leeds United on loan from Tottenham, helping us keep an eighth clean sheet in 11 Championship matches on Tuesday night – and Spurs have set his asking price.
Indeed, this season, Rodon has already clocked up a huge 37 games for Leeds – in which we have kept 16 clean sheets. That is despite Rodon constantly having different centre-back partners throughout.
Pascal Struijk, Liam Cooper and Ethan Ampadu have all played alongside Rodon this season in the middle of the defence. Ampadu recently said that playing with Rodon at centre-back makes it “easy”.
Earlier in the season, it was reported that Spurs would want a fee of £20m for Rodon if he was to join permanently. However, new reports from The Sun claim a fee would be a whole lot less than that fee.
Indeed, they claim that a fee between £10m and £15m would be enough for Leeds to land the defender beyond his loan spell. If Leeds can afford to spend that on Rodon, remains completely up in the air.

Certainly, promotion to the Premier League would help Daniel Farke keep hold of his key defender at the end of the season. But failure to go up, and Rodon becomes too expensive for a Championship club.
There are Premier League clubs keeping an eye on his progress and probably ready to pounce, should Leeds fail to go up at the end of the season. Rodon said he’d love to play for us in the Premier League.
What Leeds do have in the bank, is a whole crop of senior players that could be sold this summer to raise funds. Luis Sinisterra has joined Robin Koch in leaving the club permanently, after an initial loan.
