Leeds United currently have 11 players out on loan and so with the January transfer window now open, it will be interesting to see if there are any developments.
Brenden Aaronson has already been linked with an early return to Elland Road due to his struggles at Union Berlin, though others have been more successful and could therefore leave permanently.
However, one player whose future remains very much up in the air is Marc Roca, despite his positive first half of the campaign back in Spain at Real Betis.
Roca has received frequent praise from the Spanish media for his performances and has already confirmed himself that talks have begun over a permanent move.
However, according to Marca, Betis are slightly worried that may not be able to afford a permanent move if Leeds are promoted, and they will really have to ‘scratch their pocket’ in order to do so.
Surely Betis do everything they can to sign Roca
It has already been reported by the media in Spain that Betis will be able to sign Roca on loan for a second season if Leeds fail to get promoted this year.
However, that clause in his contract would then be removed if Leeds do return to the Premier League, which could therefore prove to be a stumbling block in a potential permanent deal.

That said, surely Betis will do everything they can in order to make sure they can afford him, given how important he has become in his first few months at the club.
Marca state that Roca has slotted into both the dressing room and starting XI better than several of their other summer signings, making it a no brainer to ensure he stays.
Hopefully the two clubs are able to come to some sort of agreement for a price similar to what Leeds paid Bayern Munich to sign him around 18 months ago.
