Joe Rodon and Dan James were nowhere to be seen on Saturday during Leeds United’s FA Cup defeat to Millwall with Daniel Farke saying the duo had suffered knocks against Coventry.
The hope and expectation was that their omission from the squad against Millwall was precautionary with the priority centred around promotion from the Championship. Leeds take on Watford on Tuesday night.
Daniel Farke said Rodon and James were missing because of knocks from the win over Coventry, speaking after the loss to Millwall. Leeds now have 15 Championship games left to play in search of promotion.

Daniel Farke gives Dan James and Joe Rodon update
On Monday afternoon, the German gaffer was immediately asked about the availability of both Rodon and James ahead of the clash against Watford. He delivered some good news to onlooking Leeds fans.
Indeed, Farke confirmed that both Rodon and James would be available given the Welsh duo had been in training since Sunday. A boost for Leeds, given the duo are arguably Leeds’ two most in-form players.
“Dan James and Joe Rodon will be available, they were back in training since yesterday. It was a bit of a precaution to not use them in this game. If nothing major happens before this they will be available.”
“Bad news” for Max Wober and Patrick Bamford update
Wober has been struggling for a couple of months now with a knee problem, while Bamford has been sidelined since New Year’s Day with a hamstring issue picked up in the latter stages of loss at Blackburn.
Farke confirmed that Wober has suffered another setback and will require surgery on his knee to correct the issue. The Switzerland ace is out until after the March break, while Bamford is not yet in training.
“Bad news with Max Wober, ongoing knee problem. He’s suffered another setback and will need another surgery. We will get this done as quick as possible and will be out till the next international break.
“Not yet [Bamford returning to team training] because we are focusing on the game. We will see what happens with Patrick, but it depends how the next days develop. He won’t return for the Watford game.”
Wober’s injury will now see him miss the next seven matches, in which LeedsUnited.News predict a possible 16 points from 21. Wober then, will only be considered for the run-in, the last eight games.
