There haven’t been concrete transfer links so far this window for Leeds United as Daniel Farke prepares for Sheffield Wednesday.

It’s so far been the quiet window Daniel Farke expected at Leeds as Sunday’s all-Yorkshire affair against Sheffield Wednesday could test whether Farke will change his transfer approach.

The Leeds boss will have to make do with his squad for now as there doesn’t seem to be any signs of a serious decision being made in terms of incoming.

Joe Gelhardt is someone who moved on loan this January to Hull City as Farke said Gelhardt wanted game time.

Now, Leeds may need to strengthen their striking department with Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph as the only options, as a transfer decision has been made.

Leeds United aware of Kelechi Iheanacho situation at Sevilla

Leeds could make some audacious decisions this transfer window and Kelechi Iheanacho is someone who’s cropped up on Farke’s radar.

The Nigerian international joined Sevilla having been released from Leicester City in the summer after a successful stint with the Foxes.

According to LeedsLive, Leeds are ‘highly unlikely’ to make a move for Iheanacho this month although Farke’s side are aware he could leave the Spanish side.

This is mostly due to the former Manchester City striker being out of favour in Spain as he could be more suited to competition with Leeds’ strikers.

Former Leeds director Victor Orta on Sevilla’s stance with players

Victor Orta made mistakes in his tenure at Leeds as Orta refused to sign Viktor Gyokeres but this time he could benefit Farke’s side.

The Former Whites director of football is now the sporting director at Sevilla and has commented on players leaving the club.

Orta as quoted by Diaro de Sevilla: “The market is open. We have the obligation to study all the offers.

“There are three parts – The players also have their feelings about their future. With the market open, anything can happen with any name.”

Leeds are eyeing four new signings and a striker is one of them, as Iheanacho’s possible move to Leeds hasn’t been ruled out just yet.
