Andrea Radrizzani has wished Daniel Farke ‘good luck’ after he was named Leeds United’s new manager on Tuesday.
Radrizzani sent the message on his official Twitter account in the wake of Leeds’ announcement, with the Italian clearly keeping a close eye on matters at Elland Road.
Technically, Farke is actually Radrizzani’s appointment given San Francisco 49ers Enterprises are still awaiting EFL approval on the takeover they agreed almost a month ago.
However, everyone knows that Radrizzani no longer has a say on the running of Leeds, with Paraag Marathe having played a key role in Farke’s arrival in his new role as chairman.
Marathe was also the figure in the 49ers’ ownership group to speak on Farke’s appointment in Leeds’ official statement, as he eagerly anticipates receiving the green light from the EFL.
Radrizzani sends Farke message after Leeds appointment
Radrizzani may not be the most liked figure at Leeds after the way his tenure ended, but that has not stopped him wishing Farke well in his new job.
He wrote: “Congrats and good luck Daniel. MOT.”
The 48-year-old is now owner of Serie B side Sampdoria after completing his buyout of the club last month to effectively prevent them from going bust.
Radrizzani is among the best owners in Leeds’ recent history but will unfortunately be remembered for his countless mistakes in the final two years of his time at the club which ultimately tarnished his legacy.
Despite that, it has not stopped him from continually supporting the club, at least in the public eye anyway, by sending his message of support to Leeds’ latest manager.
