Alongside Georginio Rutter, David Prutton names Leeds United man in Championship TOTS so far

David Prutton has added Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville to his Championship team of the season so far.

This is Prutton’s third time picking an XI in as many international breaks, with Summerville’s Leeds teammate Georginio Rutter having kept his place from the second one, as per Sky Sports.

Summerville has enjoyed a superb run of form over the last few weeks with his performances winning him the Championship’s player of the month award for October.

The 21-year-old has six goals and five assists already this season, with several of those having come after the October international break, including his match-winning brace at Norwich City.

Only Sammie Szmodics and Adam Armstrong can better Summerville’s goal contributions tally of 11, with his form just continuing to get better and better over the last few weeks.

Summerville has potential to win Championship POTS

Rutter and Summerville have both really clicked on the pitch so far this season, with the former having provided the assist for three of the latter’s goals.

Prutton believes that the two players make up half of the Championship’s best front four in the division and cited Summerville’s ‘ability to change games’ as the reason for his inclusion.

He said: “He’s part of a front four that on its day, is probably the best in the Championship. Summerville, playing with Rutter, Piroe and Daniel James. Bit of speculation at the start of the season about him wanting to move on as he saw a lot of his teammates move on.

“He’s stuck around and it has been mutually beneficial for both player and team. Leeds’ performances have picked up, and his ability to change games has picked up. I am intrigued to see what happens in January.”

If Summerville continues at the rate he is currently scoring and assisting, there is no doubt he could be in the running for the division’s player of the season in May.

Players like him who can make a difference with individual brilliance are vital in this division and could also be what gets Leeds over the line in terms of promotion.
