Crysencio Summerville took to Instagram after the Leeds ace won the Leagueโs Player of the Month award โ earning praise from Tottenhamโs Micky van de Ven and Liverpool man Ryan Gravenberch.
Summerville, 22, has starred for Leeds this season. Playing 12 times in the Championship, Summerville has had a hand in 10 goals โ scoring six, creating four goals. The Dutch star was on fire last month.
The winger played five times for Leeds in October, starting only four times โ rested against Stoke in the 1-0 defeat. Summerville still managed to lay on eight goals and assists, scoring five and creating three.
Summerville was nominated for the award alongside three other Championship players โ in the form of Ipswich stopper Vaclav Hladky, Leicester star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Cardiff right-back Perry Ng.
But, on Friday, it was announced that Summerville had been handed the Player of the Month award โ well deserved after a wonderful month. The pocket-sized star posted on Instagram with the award.
Crysencio Summerville praised by Tottenham and Liverpool stars
It has got to the stage that Summerville is seen as one of the first names on the team sheet, alongside the likes of Illan Meslier, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Georginio Rutter and Joel Piroe. He is crucial for us.
His form is even better considering he and Dan James are keeping Jaidon Anthony and Italy star Willy Gnonto out of the starting line-up. The fact Gnonto is struggling to start is indeed, quite remarkable.
Plenty responded to Summervilleโs Instagram post โ prompting reaction from two fellow young Dutch players in the form of Tottenhamโs van de Ven, and Liverpool midfielder Gravenberch, on his post.
