Ally McCoist has delivered his verdict on Fulham star Harry Wilson following his failed move to Leeds United on transfer deadline day.
Daniel Farke was desperate to add more firepower to his Leeds side in the dying hours of the transfer window as he looks to mastermind Leeds’ survival in the Premier League.
Having missed out on a string of targets, such as Atalanta’s Nikola Krstovic, Leeds launched an eleventh-hour bid to sign Fulham star Harry Wilson, but it eventually fell through.
Leeds’ attack came good against Wolves, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin receiving praise for his performance after scoring his first goal for the club.
However, McCoist believes that Leeds have missed out on signing one of the most underrated players in the top flight with their failure to land Wilson.

Ally McCoist praises underrated Harry Wilson
Speaking on TalkSport Breakfast on the morning of the 23rd September, alongside co-host Jeff Stelling, McCoist praised Wilson’s impact at Fulham.
Discussing who is the most underrated player in the Premier League, Stelling suggested former Arsenal man Alex Iwobi.
In response, McCoist put Wilson’s name forward, praising his composure in front of goal, in particular. McCoist said, “I would throw another one at you from the same team. Harry Wilson.
“I think he is extremely underrated. I think he’s a terrific footballer. I think his vision is excellent. I think he’s, as we saw at the weekend, I think he’s an extremely composed finisher.”

Could Leeds United still sign Harry Wilson?
Although Leeds missed out on a deal to sign Wilson in the summer window, there is still some hope that they could go back in for the winger in January.
As things stand, Wilson’s contract at Craven Cottage is set to expire at the end of the current season, which means he could be available on a free transfer in the summer.
Speaking in the London Evening Standard, Fulham boss Marco Silva said he wants to extend Wilson’s deal, stating: “Of course, conversations (will be had) between us and his representatives as well, and let’s see what is going to happen, but I know really the aim of him is to stay in the football club, and if we can get an agreement, his future is going to be with us.”
However, if Wilson and the club are unable to agree on a new deal, then Fulham may wish to cash in on Wilson in January to avoid losing him for nothing.
