Ryan Kent has emerged as a new target for Leeds United and Nottingham Forest among other sides, ahead of the January window – and the winger was left out of Fenerbahce’s squad on Monday night.
The 27-year-old has of course been linked with a move to Leeds in the past. TalkSPORT say we made a £10m bid for Kent during Marcelo Bielsa’s reign. But in the summer, he moved to Fenerbahce from Ibrox.
But he’s since struggled. Just eight starts in 25 games, only coming on as a sub in seven other matches this season. One league start, with fellow summer signing Dusan Tadic starting above Kent on the left.
On Monday night, Fenerbahce beat Sivasspor but there was no sign of Kent. Often, at least this season in the League, Kent has at least been on the bench as a sub. But he wasn’t even on the bench last night.

Turkish site Miliyet say he is unhappy and ‘ready to leave’. Team Talk said Leeds, Bournemouth and Rangers were all keen on the £6m-rated man. Further to that, Haber 7 said Forest have tabled a bid.
Now, last night, Kent has been excluded from the side. Reports in Turkey confirmed it was not due to an injury, but because manager Ismail Kartal chose to leave Kent out. Fener can name as many as 10 subs.
So, it is clear as day that Kent is some way away from breaking into the starting XI. That, and also, Fener are not keen on giving Kent game time. Surely, come January, they will be open to letting him leave.
With Leeds, Forest, Bournemouth, Rangers and Sheffield United all linked with a move – though the latter’s interest may dissipate after the sacking of Kent’s old boss Paul Heckingbottom – the race is on.
