The future of Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is set to be decided in the coming days amid strong interest from Leeds United.
That is according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, who report Besiktas are now also in the race to the sign Kamara, with a conclusion to the saga potentially set to arrive this week.
Leeds have been linked with a move for Kamara throughout the summer with the 27-year-old reportedly among a host of players Daniel Farke is considering to strengthen his midfield.
Ethan Ampadu has already arrived from Chelsea to bolster Leeds‘ options in the middle of the park, but they are in need of more with a number eight and 10 desperately required.
It was even reported by The Fourth Official last month that Leeds were on the verge of completing a deal for Kamara, though it does not appear to have moved forward to that stage as of yet.
Leeds target Kamara set to decide future in next few days
Kamara is said to have a £5 million release clause in his contract at Rangers and will be allowed to leave Ibrox this summer.
The Finland international is currently training away from the rest of the first team squad and has not had any involvement in any of Rangers’ pre-season friendlies.
With that said, it feels like if Leeds were really that intent on getting a deal done for Kamara, it would’ve been over the line by now.
However, if this latest report is indeed correct, a conclusion to his future may finally be about to arrive, and he would be a welcome addition to Leeds’ midfield.
Kamara is excellent in possession and extremely proficient at playing in tight areas, making him an ideal player for Farke’s side.
