Former Premier League goalkeeper Tim Howard has warned Leeds United that things are about to get worse as the pressure continues to build on Daniel Farke.
Leeds ended a round of Premier League fixtures in the bottom three for the first time, after they suffered a third consecutive defeat.
Daniel Farke now faces a fight to save his job as the Leeds fans directed angry chants in his direction both during and after the defeat against Aston Villa.
Leeds’ owners, the 49ers, now have a decision to make over Farke’s future, as the Whites prepare for a difficult run of games.
According to Howard, the club must prepare for things to get worse before they improve as Leeds enter the busy festive period.
The pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke… should Leeds United sack him?⌛
Tim Howard sends warning to Leeds United ahead of difficult Premier League run
Leeds United News understands that the 49ers are assessing Farke’s position on an ongoing basis after a damaging run of results has seen Leeds plummet down the table.
Speaking on NBC Sports, Howard explained that things are about to get worse for the Whites, as they prepare for games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Howard said: “This is gonna get worse for Leeds very, very quickly over the next month.
“They’re going to struggle to find any sort of momentum in terms of getting points or results, I think, in the next three or four games.”

Speaking alongside Howard, fellow pundit Robbie Earle was more optimistic but argued that Farke needs to start picking up results soon.
Earle added: “Up until today, it was 11 games, wasn’t it? 11 points. And you’re saying, well, a point a game would keep us up. You say that they’re behind that now. It’s 11 points from 12 games, and with that run coming up, they’re going to need some points pretty quickly.”
Leeds United have fallen behind Daniel Farke’s target points total
Over recent seasons, Farke has preferred to set Leeds a running points total, rather than focusing on individual results as a marker for success.
In the Championship, Farke frequently referred to the need to obtain two points per game to achieve promotion, a total which has dropped to one point per game for Premier League survival.
As Earle alluded to above, Leeds now have 11 points from 12 games, which could drop to 11 points from 15 games if Leeds fail to pick up a point in their tricky run of games.
Daniel Farke is statistically Leeds’ worst Premier League manager 📉
According to Opta’s Jonny Cooper, posting on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), Leeds have now fallen behind an average of a point per game in a season for the first time since matchweek three of the 2023/24 season.
If Farke is unable to pull his side back up to their point-per-game target, he could soon find himself out of a job at Elland Road.
