Mateo Joseph could leave Leeds United this summer, with Real Betis continuing to hold an interest in the striker.
Real Betis reportedly offered £10 million for Joseph in January in a bid which Leeds United were swift to reject ahead of the deadline.

Victor Orta initially signed the 21-year-old to Leeds’ development squad back in 2022 from Espanyol. That meant that, in the process, Joseph chose Leeds over Real Madrid as well.
Leeds United fans want to sell Mateo Joseph — at the right price
Despite Farke calling Joseph ‘important’, he’s hardly played in the second half of the season. Joel Piroe became Leeds’ main striker for the run-in.
Farke then admitted Joseph failed to take his Leeds chance in the cameos he got in the latter stages of the year, and his future could now lie elsewhere.
Of course, with the U-21 European Championships this summer, Leeds will want to keep Joseph and see his progress but the reports linking him to Betis continue.
Some would hold off, but most Leeds fans are keen to sell up for the right fee. Other responses included this fan’s sarcastic response regarding accepting a subpar offer for Joseph.
Another Leeds fan added: “People will use this as a stance to say why he should have started but facts are, he’s a project, not a starter We aren’t in a position to really develop these sorts of players unfortunately, PSR won’t let us. Sell for 15m, gives us around 30-40m PSR leeway. No brainer”
Another added: “Convinced he will be a top top striker one day (probably linked with the big boys in a couple years), but with a short term vision of pure profit to invest in starters now, it’s a no brainer for me. + r ‘arry Gray >”
A final response said: “It’s a shame, because the ideal would have been a loan. But given the current PSR situation and knowing he won’t be part of the squad next season, the best option is for him to leave via sale. Mateo Joseph has tremendous potential and he’s going to show it. We’ll keep an eye on him at Betis.”

What is a fair deal for Leeds to sell Mateo Joseph?
It’s been said previously that Leeds value Joseph at around £12.75 million and there have been other reports stating Betis are planning for Joseph talks with Leeds this month.
There is a sense of inevitability surrounding Joseph’s Leeds future. Leeds could create the necessary headroom for PSR with a sale and adding in a sell-on clause would cover their own backs if he hits anything like the potential many hope he has.
Anything close to £15 million with a sell-on clause attached seems to be the consensus and that sort of deal would allow Leeds more freedom to spend on oven-ready Premier League players.
They cannot simply loan players out to develop them in the hope that they might be worth more if they are already receiving substantial offers for their services now.
That is the case with Joseph, who is already a back up and not a starting player. Offers of that nature for squad players are hard to reject.
