Mateo Joseph was a player at Leeds United who had the potential to leave Elland Road as the transfer window went on.
As a dire window came to a close for Leeds and Daniel Farke, there was still a spanner in the works during the closing stages.
Real Betis readied a £10m bid for Joseph as the Spaniard could’ve departed shockingly this winter.
Of course, the departure of the 21-year-old never came to fruition, but who is to say Betis won’t reignite their interest in the summer.
Now Farke has assessed the situation and claimed if Joseph can play his part at Leeds.

Daniel Farke hints at role Mateo Joseph could play after Real Betis bid
Another Spanish club were interested in Joseph as next summer could prove to be the ultimate transfer saga between Joseph staying at Leeds or leaving completely.
With Leeds’ limited striker options, John Newsome was adamant Joseph couldn’t go and a lot of fans will share that view after no signings were made in the attacking department.
Farke has now spoken on Joseph’s situation in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Whites’ visit to Coventry City this Wednesday.
“We have Mateo, let’s assume the rumours were right with offers for double figures,” Farke said.
“A sign of his quality. Important, top striker.”

Farke won’t budge on Joseph comments as Leeds will stand firm
It’s been a difficult season for Joseph who has only found the net three times in the Championship this season.
But this is only the start of what could be a promising Leeds career.
Yes, the 49ers could cash in on Joseph with the interest from Spain, but that’s clearly not the plan with Farke and the owners, and it will take a lot for Joseph to depart Elland Road next summer.
The Real Betis president wanted Joseph from Leeds, so the bid was no secret, and now Farke has made his intentions clear which could see this transfer story develop as the months go on.
