Ryan Kent was once again linked with Leeds United during the January window but the winger has stayed at Fenerbahce – after a calamitous deadline day, in which he turned down a move to Burnley.
Kent, 27, moved to Fener last summer but has struggled for game time. Just one League start since. He had to leave last month. Initially, Leeds, Rangers, Bournemouth, Forest and Sheffield United were linked.
But it took right up until the final moments of the window for Kent to look as if he was on his way. Links with a £3.5m move to Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq came and went, as did a move to Dinamo Zagreb.
Then, on deadline day, it looked as if he was off to Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio in what looked like a brilliant move for the English winger. But it fell through after the last minute. Team Talk shed some light on it.

They even say that Kent rejected a move to Burnley on the final day, a chance to play in the Premier League, with a move to Lazio on the horizon. But Lazio fell through and Kent has been left in limbo.
The move to Burnley was a loan deal and Kent wanted to go permanently. So, a move to Turf Moor was off the cards but now, Kent will be regretting his decision. Indeed, it is claimed he has gone to FIFA.
Fotomac say he is going to report Fener to FIFA over unpaid wages and being left out of Fener’s side. It is fair to say, his move to Turkey has completely failed. Kent will be desperate to go as soon as possible.
